Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager (Remediation) to pursue and enhance delivery on a variety of industrial market projects with an emphasis on per and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in our US West Region. The position requires strong project management capabilities and experience in the industrial sector in the US. The strongest candidate will have a broad base of environmental investigation and a solid remediation foundation with extensive experience in PFAS remediation technologies forensics governance and investigation. The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team consisting of engineers and scientists. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.
In this role you will also support business growth and staff management in key projects/client programs. Your ability to manage and lead others effectively is critical to success in this role.
This a hybrid role that is available anywhere in the United States near an AECOM office although the preference is for the Western US.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects a positive attitude willingness to mentor junior staff and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.
- Ability to support business development with preproposal meetings site visits proposal writing and reviews.
- Implement project deliverable requirements of the AECOM Quality Management System.
- Demonstrate ability to build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Capitalizes on own expertise and existing professional network to maintain and establish new key account relationships and ensure they are managed for growth under AECOMs client account management (CAM) program.
- Identifies and expands opportunities with existing AECOM clients into department footprint focusing on working with AECOM CAMs and identifying other opportunities in the department geographic footprint or with department specific technical specialties.
- Works with AECOMs strongest practitioners to create solutions that showcase AECOMs unique PFAS experience and expertise.
- Lead mentor and motivate a team to achieve high performance and meet business objectives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment promoting collaboration and engagement.
- Provide regular feedback coaching and development opportunities for team members.
AECOM encourages knowledgesharing without geographic constraint through our PFAS Technical Practice with a current membership of over 1000 employees in the US Canada Asia Australia and the Middle East and Africa. The TPG creates easy access to shared information and the opportunity to lead and learn from this talented bench of new and seasoned PFAS specialists in water treatment and environmental remediation of all media: soil groundwater surface water wastewater biosolids and air.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in related field and 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Direct PFAS experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree and PhD in Civil or environmental engineering is preferred
- 15 years of experience in environmental consulting and remediation system design
- 40Hour HAZWOPER Training
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Excel)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to Health and Safety
