Job Summary:
The Senior Technical Office Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing all technical office activities related to construction projects. This role involves preparing and reviewing technical documentation coordinating with site teams and ensuring that all project specifications and standards are adhered to. The Senior Technical Office Engineer acts as a key technical authority within the project team ensuring quality efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the technical office team ensuring the accurate preparation review and approval of technical documentation including engineering drawings and specifications.
- Lead technical discussions and provide expertise to resolve project challenges.
- Manage the preparation review and updates of technical documents such as design changes technical queries and submittals.
- Ensure the completeness accuracy and timeliness of all documentation.
- Ensure that all technical documents and engineering practices comply with project specifications contractual requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of technical deliverables.
- Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports highlighting project status design changes and any issues or risks.
- Collaborate effectively with project stakeholders including clients contractors and consultants to address technical concerns.
- Provide guidance support and training to junior engineers to build their technical competencies and ensure the teams professional growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the technical office.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years in document control preferably within the construction or engineering industries.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in document control systems and relevant software.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of documentation.
Working Conditions:
- Location: Onsite.
- Hours: 8 hours per day 6 days a week.
- Vacation: 1 day off per week.
