The Production Technician plays a vital role in our manufacturing process overseeing the chemical stripping plating and production of highquality components. This position ensures all parts meet precise standards while supporting the efficiency and safety of production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Operations: Set up operate and monitor stripping and plating tanks to ensure seamless execution.
- Quality Control: Conduct detailed inspections using tools like micrometers and calipers to verify parts meet exact specifications.
- Maintenance: Maintain tank operations by managing additions cleanliness and chemical storage.
- Processing: Skillfully prepare and process parts through stripping and plating lines including hard chrome plating.
- Equipment Handling: Use hand tools measuring instruments and fabrication techniques to support production.
- Safety: Enforce and follow established safety guidelines to maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
- Collaboration: Assist other technicians and materials clerks to streamline workflow and operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and critical thinking abilities.
- Language Proficiency: Must be able to read write and understand English.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit climb stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
- Capable of lifting 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable working around caustic and corrosive chemicals.
- Vision requirements include 20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses).
- Safety Compliance: Must safely wear PPE such as dust masks steeltoe boots and safety glasses.
