At AECOM we are recruiting a Technical DirectorData Center to join us in our Dublin office.
Heres what youll do:
Your daytoday will include but not be limited to the following tasks and responsibilities;
As Data Centre Project Director you will be expected to be client and people focused determined and responsible working with Project Management and Cost Management (PMCM) Director to successfully develop and grow our Clients and manage a team delivering projects across Ireland UK and Europe.
Job Duties
- Lead a Project & Cost Management team delivering various commissions taking accountability for their successful delivery.
- Provide effective support and mentoring to junior staff.
- Ensures commissions are managed and completed efficiently on time and to the clients satisfaction.
- Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team building a strong team spirit and work ethic.
- Be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).
- Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training.
- Manage the delivery of project management team outputs in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Managing and motivating the Team.
- Monitors the main drivers or indicators of commercial performance and can interpret their longterm impact on business performance.
Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants. The successful candidate shall be charged with the delivery of Project and Cost Management Services within our Client focused and highly motivated professional team.
Qualifications :

Heres what were looking for:
- Degree Qualified BSc or MSc in Engineering or other design related profession.
- Professionally Qualified ideally Chartered Engineer or other equivalent institution.
- 10 years proven experience in a consulting client facing environment providing the full spectrum of PMCM services including Client Account Management (CAM)
- Be passionate about delivering high quality consulting services to our clients.
- Understanding of the standard forms of contract utilized in the sector
- Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on value risk and programme in a holistic way.
- Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise current digital tools are essential.
- Excellent numeracy verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to challenge in a positive and engaging manner.
- Ability to manage relationships effectively identifying and resolving issues at the earliest possible opportunity.
