We are seeking a dedicated HSE Specialist to support our departments Health Safety & Environment (HSE) initiatives. In this role you will work closely with the HSE Lead to improve HSE management systems ensure compliance and reduce risks within our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the development and implementation of HSE strategies and procedures conducting regular HSE observation walks and performing risk assessments. You will also support permit to work processes and management of change initiatives collaborating with contractors on safety inductions and access control.
The Challenge
As an integral part of our HSE team you will manage waste compliance and environmental initiatives follow up on incident reports and near misses using the Enablon system and act as the HSE subject matter expert for department operations. Your role will involve providing training and development to staff on HSE matters Risk identification documentation and organizing emergency response drills. Additionally you will be responsible for maintaining and updating HSE documentation and reporting systems conducting HSE audits and inspections monitoring legal compliance and supporting internal and external audits.
Qualifications :
The Profile
To excel in this position you should possess a Dutch HSE MBO qualification (such as MVK or IVK) and have a minimum of 3 years of operational HSE experience. Fluency in both Dutch and English strong interpersonal and communication skills experience in matrix organizations and operational expertise in HSE practices are essential. Preferred qualifications include an ME/MTech in Industrial Safety or Environment Science/Engineering NEBOSH certification and ISO 14001 and 45001 Lead Auditor credentials.
