Job Description

Leading a team of one Front Office coordinator one Middle & Back Office coordinator one Americas & Group Treasury Accountant and ten analysts in Montevideo (daytoday direction setting performance management capability development succession / backup planning etc.) in pursuit of the following responsibilities: 

 

  • Daytoday execution of cash funding and risk management operations within functional guidelines using robust platforms and based on strategies developed by the Business Treasurers. 

  • Daily weekly or monthly (depending on country) identification of FX Committed exposures. Lead/participate actively in the hedging decisions across all countries. 

  • Monthend reporting activities as well as Controlling of cash exposure NFE metrics. 

  • Liquidity Management responsibility ensuring all cash flow decisions are taken properly and on time. Taking and acting on the funding strategies. 

  • Coordinate and ensure delivery of key Corporate Finance initiatives (e.g. dividends capital injections etc.) 

  • Ensure timely delivery of the cash forecast process ensuring a good alignment and engagement with the main stakeholders whilst pushing for improvements in the process/accuracy. 

  • Ownership of Treasury Internal Controls testing 

  • Support in the audit deliverables and financial statements preparations related to Treasury 

  • Responsible to manage the different corporates cards programs in the countries 

  • Manage and ensure a strong control of all bank signatories across the region 

  • Ownership and guardian of the Americas banking setup incl. opening/closing of accounts master user management of accesses cost management operational service quality from banks etc. 

  • Project support: M&A support S4 Cash Management Application TMS bank implementations general enhancements new hedging/funding strategies etc. 

  • Manage the bank relationship with the financial institutions that we partner with ensuring all current bank services products are being delivered whilst pushing for innovations to improve companys efficiency 

  • Seamless support for Business Treasurers when it comes to anticipating issues loan maturities providing insightful analytics independent and responsible execution 

  • Lead the relationship with Group Treasury out of the Americas and act as focal point for the Group functional leads on Cash Management Risk Management Corporate Finance Risk Control Operations & Infrastructure

It is indispensable for this position:

  • Minimum 5 years of Treasury experience 

  • International experience 

  • Experience with the setup of and relationships with external counterparties particularly banks 

  • Experience of Group Treasury with knowledge of functional policies and codes of practice 

  • Effectively communication of complex matters 

  • Bridging between global policies and objectives with local circumstances and demands 

  • Advanced financial markets and derivative knowledge (instruments and impacts) 

  • Excellent command of English. 

  • Deep understanding of financial markets instruments and regulatory environment with a focus on Americas 

  • Treasury expertise: liquidity and risk management funding information systems controlling 

  • Technology platform affinity 

  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility 

  • Risk mindset 

  • Customer orientation combined with focus on the bottomline
