Job Description
Location: Rock Island IL
Pay: up to $38/hr depending on experience
MF 1st Shift
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and controls issues throughout the plant
- Troubleshooting of automation systems and devices (PLC I/O VFDs fieldbuses communication networks)
- Replacement of defective devices or commissioning of new devices including basic configuration or backup reloading
- Create update and maintain technical documentation as needed (electrical diagrams installation notes other relevant documentation)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of general industrial electronics and process control concepts
- Ability to read understand create and update electrical diagrams with an emphasis on troubleshooting from electrical diagrams
- Electrical troubleshooting capabilities with the use of multimeter and other diagnostic tools; 24VDC 240VAC 480VAC
- Experience with industrial control systems (control panels relays contactors safety systems etc.)
- Experience with industrial automation systems including PLCs (Siemens AllenBradley) and HMIs
- Ability to read PLC program and reload from backup
- Experience working with industrial variable frequency drives (VFDs) (SEW Siemens AllenBradley Lenze)
- Experience with industrial fieldbuses (Profibus Profinet ASi)
- Understanding of industrial safety concepts systems and devices (Estops light curtains safety doors OSSD safety monitors); experience with ASiSafe and Profisafe are a plus
- Basic knowledge of ethernet and basic networking skills (routers switches IP address MAC address)
- Working knowledge and basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Experience with AutoCAD for drawing/updating electrical plans
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills including ability to root cause and troubleshoot automated equipment and controls
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio C# and Visual Basic
Qualifications :
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Electrical Engineering or focus on Controls or Electronics
- A Master Electrical License or Journeyman Electrical License is required
- 35 years related work experience
- Hands on plant integration experience developing manufacturing support systems
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
