Job Description

Accountabilities:

  • Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patients diagnosis and/or treatment
  • Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care observing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Provide radiologists with high quality imaging accurate and complete preliminary technical impression discussing ultrasound findings with the radiologist when necessary
  • Perform other duties related to the job classification as required

Qualifications :

  • Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario (CMRITO) required
  • ARDMS (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with ARDMS (CRGS) within six months of the date of hire
  • Recent experience in related area of responsibility required
  • Able to perform breast imaging is an asset
  • Experience in general abdominal obstetrics/gynecology paediatric vascular and musculoskeletal an asset
  • Experience in ultrasound special procedures i.e. biopsies an asset
  • FMF NT certification an asset
  • Membership with Sonography Canada an asset
  • Proven skill in the production of highquality ultrasound images
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent attendance punctuality and work record


Additional Information :

Hours: Days/Evenings/Nights including statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

SALARY:
Minimum: $36.84
Maximum: $51.76
