As a Team Lead reporting to the Manager you will supervise the cleaning and services of an assigned area within the budget required to maintain company and customer quality standards.
Your work will include:
- Overseeing daily operations of the custodial staff providing guidance training and feedback to ensure high service levels
- Developing and managing work schedules to ensure adequate coverage for tasks events and special projects
- Conducting regular inspections to maintain high cleaning standards and addressing deficiencies promptly
- Managing inventory and supply levels ensuring timely ordering and restocking of cleaning products and equipment
- Enforcing health and safety regulations ensuring staff use proper protective equipment and follow safety protocols
- Responding to emergency cleaning situations quickly and effectively
- Coordinating with vendors for specialty cleaning services or equipment maintenance
- Monitoring the custodial budget and identifying costsaving opportunities
- Providing ongoing training and professional development for custodial team members.
- Maintaining accurate records of custodial tasks inspections performance and incidents and preparing reports for management
- Organizing and supervising largescale cleaning projects ensuring timely completion and high standards
- Evaluating and recommending improvements to custodial operations and introducing new technologies to increase efficiency
- Clearing snow and ice from walkways entrances parking spots and outside areas to ensure safe and accessible pathways for all facility users
Qualifications :
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of experience in cleaning and supervisory roles within a large facility
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and perform tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility with start and end times including availability to work weekends evenings and statutory holidays as required ensuring operational coverage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and liaise professionally with clients and staff
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and experience implementing these practices in daily operations is considered an asset
