This position is responsible for improving equipment reliability and streamlining delivery of the companys maintenance programs for the Central Distribution Facilities. The incumbent will support the Distribution Facilities network achieving cost savings and process improvements all while ensuring a safe and friendly customer/employee work environment. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees customers and service contractors. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure all facility equipment is maintained to company standards.
- Ensure all plans and strategies are effectively communicated throughout the department.
- Generate PM PdM and Corrective work orders and plan and administrate for CMMS system.
- Create and publish weekly work order schedule. Update completion and communicate results.
- Review and process work requests and track work order completion rates and document/share.
- Maintain equipment information and files.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance work and minor projects.
- Work with Operations to establish equipment availability.
- Implement PM procedures for all new and existing equipment.
- Obtain / manage necessary blueprints drawings instructional manuals and special procedures as needed.
- Work with Quality Assurance and Safety departments to ensure compliance.
- Plan annual shutdowns and outages as required.
- Arrange OEM service on existing equipment.
- May be requested to undertake other duties as required.
Qualifications :
- Typically requires completion of a postsecondary program in a relevant discipline plus 5 years of Maintenance Supervision or related experience in a food manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Trade certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of planning principles procedures and purchasing in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of supplies and materials utilized in the manufacturing industry and maintenance operations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with operations vendors and contractors.
- A good understanding of Energy Management best practices.
- Able to gather data compile information and prepare follow up reports as required.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural structural civil mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Able to meet deadlines using strong organizational and planning skills.
- Solid computer skills in a windowsbased environment.
