Job Description

For the Swiss trading entity of an international commodity trading company based in Baar/Zug Switzerland. This role involves managing claims and demurrage processes liaising with trading and finance teams to ensure timely execution of all demurrage claims.

Tasks

Responsibilities

  • Manage all demurrage claims for shipping and cargo
  • Check loading and discharge logs to identify demurrage cases
  • Review and analyze contract terms and documents to prepare claim calculations
  • Submit demurrage claims to suppliers and receivers based on purchase and sales contracts
  • Accurate reporting and data maintenance reporting of overdue claims
  • Perform additional tasks as required by business needs

Requirements

Requirements

  • 23 years of work experience in similar position
  • Solid comprehension analytical evaluation and interpretation skills
  • Ability to negotiate with third parties
  • Knowledge of marine terminology and operations
  • Solid knowledge on relevant control requirements (antitrust legal compliance)
  • Fluency in English with any other foreign language being an asset
  • Accurate working and detail oriented ability to independently manage tasks but also work in a team ability to work under pressure
  • Organization skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple transactionsSelfstarter and reliable
