POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and resultsoriented Program Manager to play a crucial role in supporting the coordination and implementation of a strategic partnership between WomenLift Health and WILAN in Nigeria. This role will focus on ensuring effective communication collaboration and implementation of our shared work program aimed at advancing womens leadership in the health sector in Nigeria. The manager will work under the direction of Dr Norah Obudho East Africa Director WomenLift Health and in close collaboration with Abosede GeorgeOgan Founder WILAN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact between both organizations fostering strong relationships and facilitating open lines of communication.
- Team Engagement: Identify and engage the appropriate staff members within both organizations who will be integral to partnership activities.
- Problem Solving: Assist in identifying challenges that arise within the partnership framework and work program. Support collaborative problemsolving and facilitate discussions to find effective solutions that address shared concerns.
- Program Implementation: Support the implementation of the shared work program ensuring that all activities are executed in alignment with the established goals and timelines.
- Capturing Learning: Create and maintain systems for capturing lessons learned and best practices throughout the partnership. Analyze and document successes challenges and insights gained from the implementation of the work program.
The Nigeria Program Manager will play a critical role in supporting the design and implementation the WomenLift Health WILAN work program including:
- Leadership Development Programs (60% of time):
- Endtoend Implementation of the oneyear long hybrid leadership development program (Leadership Journey) for a cohort of 30 women leaders including — supporting the selection process of women scheduling of key Journey milestones communication and followup with cohort members support for mentors coaches reviewers and technical experts engaged with the cohort project management of two inperson events for the cohort members and support for the women in their Leadership Projects and other needs over the duration of the program through officehours and responding to requests.
- Implementation of 35 leadership workshops (virtual and inperson) for women leaders in Nigeria including support in scheduling the workshops and providing operational support for the virtual platform or inperson event.
- Manage the use and maintenance of tools for implementing and tracking key milestones deliverables and budget according to established program timeline for the hub.
- Support cohort members and health partners by bringing relevant public and/or global health knowledge/experience to discussions and providing active support to meet their needs.
- Actively contribute to and/or facilitate crossregional ideation brainstorming in the creation of new systems processes and modalities for the leadership development activities.
- MEL (20% of time):
- Manage program monitoring evaluation and learning (MEL) efforts for the Nigeria Hub under the guidance of the WomenLift Health and WILAN MEL team.
- ThoughtLeadership and Communications (20% of time): In collaboration with WomenLift Health and WILAN Communications Teammates:
- Support the development and dissemination of messaging materials speaker events videos and thoughtleadership products as needed.
Education & Experience (Required):
- Masters degree in a related field
- Minimum 7 years of work experience with 3 years in public or global health
- Demonstrated track record of independently adapting and establishing processes systems and tools to implement capacity building programs
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (Required):
- Commitment to WomenLift Health and WILANs Mission Vision and Values
- Understanding of womens leadership in the development and/or health sector in Nigeria
- Proven ability to collaborate and cocreate with diverse colleagues across cultures countries disciplines and timezones
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
- Depth of experience maturity confidence gravitas ability to learn and adapt and give and receive feedback befitting a manager
- Selfstarter selfdriven learner who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment
- Solid computer skills and demonstrated experience in using MS office suite including spreadsheets webbased applications such as email social media videoconferencing program and task management applications and ease in learning new programs
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
Education & Experience (Preferred):
- Womens Leadership Gender Equality or Public Health is a plus
- Additional language preferred but not required
