Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


Working under the supervision of Staff Nurse and Charge Nurse, assist and support in organizing the assigned clinic and coordinate with all clinic related activities to ensure that patients are receiving the optimal expected care services.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Ensure the readiness and arrangement of the clinic/ environment / supplies) on daily basis.
  • Assist Physician in administrative and non-medical tasks.
  • Receive call, clarification and answer as needed
  • Organize and coordinate clinic activities (patient flow etc.).
  • Ensure that all required documents are completed (claims, referral, etc.). Track patient status and assist as needed (with lab, radiology etc.).
  • Process admission and referral accurately in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to infection control principles.
  • Adhere to JCIA/ CBAHI Standards of patient safety.
  • Maintain proper records / documents, filing clinic related administrative aspects (borrowing / database, etc.).
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Initiate emergency and resuscitative measures when needed.
  • Assist in certain administrative tasks:
    • Completing supplies requisition (MR/PR)
    • Maintenance Request
    • IT / system request
    • Clinic closure requirement.
    • Act as coordinator between patient / family and doctor.
    • Ensure patient satisfaction.
    • Translate to non-Arabic speaking doctor or as needed.
    • Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
    • Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
    • Perform other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.

Desired candidate profile

Communication Skills: Clear and professional interaction with patients, staff, and medical professionals.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage appointments, patient records, and clinic supplies efficiently.
Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in patient information, documentation, and follow-up procedures.
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and scheduling software.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Customer Service: Demonstrates empathy and professionalism in addressing patient concerns.
Multitasking: Effectively handles multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Teamwork: Works collaboratively with healthcare providers and administrative staff.
Patient Interaction:

Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
Provide clear instructions for forms, procedures, or follow-up care.
Address patient inquiries or concerns professionally.
Administrative Support:

Schedule and confirm appointments using clinic software.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all required information is updated.
Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries, if applicable.
Clinical Assistance:

Prepare examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness and stocking supplies.
Assist healthcare providers with minor procedures or patient care tasks.
Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure or weight, if trained.
