Job Description
As a Certification Specialist you will be responsible for certification EAC (Technical regulation of Customs Union) State registration of goods and ensuring business continuality and compliance with all applicable legislation and certification requirements safeguarding our business operations across all product categories. Your role will involve monitoring regulatory changes managing certification processes and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize efficiency and costeffectiveness.
Your Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Possess indepth knowledge of applicable legislation including technical regulations certification hygienic and labelling requirements for commercial and noncommercial goods.
- Monitor legislative changes and take timely action to communicate and implement updates ensuring uninterrupted import flow as well as compliance.
- Select and manage certification service partners and independent test laboratories through a tendering process.
- Choose certification schemes based on product types and business need
- if required organize certificationinspection visits to manufacturing facilities.
- Arrange testing samples either locally within Kazakhstan or from Supplier Warehouse.
- Ensure accuracy in applications for Certificates or Declarations of Conformit State Registration documents. Keep all records in English and Russian.
- Control certification costs and manage the associated budget by implementing costefficient processes.
- Make informed decisions to minimize unnecessary costs such as avoiding certification for lowquantity orders or opting for local supply when feasible.
- Apply for certification documents via electronic signature on governmental portals where possible.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams (Import/Export Production and Suppliers Product Compliance Merchandising and EU Warehouse) and external stakeholders (government authorities customs brokers certification service providers).
- Address disputes on wording in the certificates such as HS code interpretation goods description.
- Represent and protect the companys interests in communication with stakeholders and governmental agencies.
Qualifications :
What you need to succeed:
- Proven track record in certification of textile cosmetics and homeware products.
- Experience in customs brokerage and importing textile goods is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with test methods certification schemes and HS code classification rules.
- Ability to interpret and verify application for certificates read and use test protocols.
- Fluent in English Russian and Kazakh to effectively interact with internal teams and external governmental bodies.
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Proficient in communication and collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Additional Information :
This is a fulltime permanent position starting as soon as possible according to agreement offered on a local contract and based in our Office in Almaty / Kazakhstan .
