Vocational Nurses

This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below: 

International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced Vocational Nurse to provide care for VA members and their families. Vocational Nurses provide essential patient care including monitoring vital signs administering medications and assisting with daily living activities. They work under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors to support the healthcare team in various clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing and monitoring patients vital signs and health status. 
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed. 
• Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing dressing and feeding. 
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation. 
• Collaborating with registered nurses and healthcare teams for patient care. 
• Educating patients and families on health management and wellness. 
• Preparing and maintaining medical equipment and supplies.
• Ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures. 
• Participating in care planning and implementation of nursing interventions. 
• Adhering to healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications :

Basic Requirements/Certifications:  

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 
• Valid licensed vocational nurse (LVN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the state of practice. 
• National Licensure Examination (NCLEXPN) 

Education Required: 

• Accredited Practical nursing certificate program.   

Physical Requirements: 

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. 
• Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. 
• May require bending stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs. 

Other Special Qualifications: 

• Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate. 
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. 
• Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data. 

Compensation  Min: $47hr        Max: $61hr
