And we need a talented Software Engineer to join our mission.
The team youll be working with: Treasury Safeguarding
Wise is growing fast in volume revenue gross margin and customer products. Our customers already trust us with 14 Billion of their funds across 10 licensed entities across the globe. The Safeguarding team is missioncritical and we ensure we put the safety of customer funds at the heart of what we do as Wise continues to scale into new markets and products.
The Treasury Safeguarding Engineering Team builds and constantly improves scalable and reliable services that enable this large scale operation of safeguarding customer funds. .You will develop the systems processes and controls by which we manage financial and operational risks to customer funds in line with local regulations around the globe in real time.
You will have very interesting challenges with high data volumes fighting performance bottlenecks implementing faulttolerant solutions and deep diving into the finance and treasury domain.
You will constantly collaborate with teams across Engineering and Analytics. You will also partner deeply with teams across the business including Operations Finance Compliance Risk & Controls.
What does it take:
A strong product mindset you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make datadriven decisions
Sense of ownership and great communication skills to drive projects across teams
Ability to work independently while also being a good team player. Your work will frequently involve crossteam collaboration.
Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value
Experience with common design and architectural patterns coupled with a passion for writing clean code that is performant and well tested
Curiosity and drive for continuous learning and improvement
Following and advocating best coding practices continuous delivery and code reviews
Knowledge and experience with a messaging system like Kafka
Knowledge of Java and Spring boot is a plus
Experience working with relational and nonrelational databases SQL query optimisation and designing schemas is a plus
