About the role
We are looking for a skilledand motivated MidLevel Data Engineerto join our growing team.Were looking for someone with a strong background in Python SQL and some basicknowledgein using DBT for data transformation and modelling.
In this role you will work closely with data engineers and analysts to design develop and implement data pipelines that are at the heart of our product.
About You
Were looking for a MidLevel Data Engineer who is eager to learn new skills whilst contributing to a fastpaced SaaS environment. Heres what makes you a great fit:
- 46 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- It would be valuable to have experience working with ambiguity in a scaleup (or scaleuplike) environment.
- Knowledge of financial data and ledgerbased systems a plus but not essential.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD workflows for data engineering projects.
- Proven ability to leverage CI/CD tools to streamline data pipeline development and deployment.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow Luigi Spark or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.
- Experience with SQL and proficiency in writing queries (e.g. TSQL PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS GCP Azure (Azure preferred but not essential).
- A strong focus on data quality & data ingestion.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with crossfunctional teams.
- Eager to learn and grow your data engineering skills.
Key responsibilities of the MidLevel Data Engineer;
- Design develop and implement ETL pipelines to extract data from various sources (databases APIs etc.).
- Designing and implementing CI/CD workflows for data engineering projects.
- Cleanse transform and validate data to ensure high quality and consistency before loading it into data warehouses or data lakes.
- Develop and maintain data models using DBT and/or SQL that are efficient scalable and reliable (DBT is desirable but not essential).
- Assist in optimizing ETL processes for efficiency scalability and performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines and data models.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ETLrelated issues ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Collaborate with data analysts data scientists and other engineers to understand data needs and business requirements.
- Stay uptodate with the latest trends and technologies in the data engineering field particularly in the area of ETL tools and frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledgesharing sessions within the team.
