About the team
Our Data Science team comprises eight members including three Senior Data Scientists four Data Scientists and the Head of Data Science. We specialise in various areas such as Recommender Systems Time Series Forecasting Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Our focus is on modelling and problemsolving leveraging advanced machine learning techniques to create solutions to challenging business problems. We prioritise clean welltested code with a culture of documentation and knowledge sharing. Our tech stack includes GCP Python GitHub PyTorch TensorFlow Scikitlearn and XGBoost.
With mature infrastructure and dedicated teams for Data Engineering Analytics and Platform Engineering our Data Scientists enjoy high autonomy. We tackle interesting datasets set up largescale experiments and implement growth strategies with NO red tape. Quarterly OKR planning ensures that priorities are clearly defined and teams are aligned on objectives.
The impact youll have:
Reporting to the Head of Data Science the Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in propelling loveholidays forward. Positioned within a team of passionate data enthusiasts youll be instrumental in shaping our datadriven strategies and outcomes.
Your daytoday:
Developing and implementing models to address business challenges
Contributing to the maintenance of existing systems
Participating in code reviews and collaborating on projects
Learning from senior team members while developing your expertise
Engaging in project rotation for a fresh perspective and sustained engagement
Contributing ideas for team OKRs and new initiatives
Participating in morning standups and weekly prioritisation meetings
Your skillset
Were looking for someone with a scientific approach to data where the following qualities are important:

Required Experience
Contributing to data science projects from development to implementation
Applying statistical methods and machine learning techniques to realworld problems
Proficient in machine learning and statistical methods for predictive modelling and forecasting
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
Strong experience with Python and common data science libraries
Desirable
Familiarity with Deep Learning or Generative AI concepts
Experience with Time Series Forecasting and Recommender Systems
Previous experience working in ecommerce retail or the travel industry.
Experience with A/B testing
Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow Dagster or Prefect
Experience with Google Cloud Platform particularly Vertex AI and Docker
