What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
- Strong expertise in managing and maintaining AWS RDS MS SQL and AWS RDS PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience working with Amazon Redshift.
- Familiarity with Kafka.
- Handson experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Proficient understanding of the .NET backend stack and its interaction with databases.
- Knowledge of database security best practices and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience in designing data warehouses and data stores.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a cloudagnostic setup.
- Familiarity with Amazon Kinesis.
- AWS Certification is a plus.
Your Mission
- Oversee the health performance and security of AWS RDS instances (MS SQL PostgreSQL) as well as Amazon Redshift.
- Optimize database queries indexes and other elements for maximum performance.
- Assist with migration strategies and implementation.
- Work on scaling techniques such as sharding and replication.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to manage and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools.
- Regularly monitor database health and performance generating comprehensive reports on database metrics for stakeholders.
