DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: (Required)
The City of Austin D/B/A Austin Energy requires the services of a Project Manager 2 hereafter referred to as Worker who meets the general qualification general qualifications of a Project Manager 2 and the specifications outlined in this document for Austin Energy.
ABOUT AUSTIN ENERGY:
Austin Energy is the 8th largest communityowned electric utility in the country. We serve more than 530000 customers and a population of almost one million. We provide service within the City of Austin Travis County and a small portion of Williamson County. Our annual revenues total $1.2 billion. The Utility has a diverse generation portfolio of more than 2600 megawatts of traditional generation and more than 450 megawatts of renewable energy. Austin Energy has led the nation in sales of renewable energy by a utilitysponsored program for the last seven years in a row. The Utility also offers some of the most comprehensive rebates in the country for residential and commercial customers to make energyefficiency improvements to their homes and buildings
WORK DESCRIPTION: (Add specifics of this contract)
Responsible for the planning coordination requirements gathering business analysis
specifications development project planning project monitoring and project status reporting
and system implementation of moderate to complex business solutions as it pertains to existing
renewable energy programs and renewable energy programs currently under development.
WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required)
Minimum (Required): insert specific minimum skills for this Contract Position) Years Skills/Experience YES Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with a degree in Business or Management Engineering computer science computer information systems or management information systems YES Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI 47 Demonstrated experience implementing IT/OT enterprise application projects 47 Experience in project procurement / RFP development / bid evaluation 47 Demonstrated application of project management techniques WBS (work breakdown structure) development and coordination of people and resources 47 Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Excel Word Project PowerPoint SharePoint and
Visio WebEx 47 Proficient in change management methodologies 47 Proficient in presenting to multiple levels within an organization
Preferred (Optional): insert specific preferred skills for this Contract Position) Years Skills/Experience 3 Experience leading projects related to photovoltaics 3 Experience in developing and managing remote teams 3 Experience with utility business practices and relevant business needs 3 Experience with working with a government entity
