Public Affairs (Assistant) Manager China affairs / Mainland affairs native Mandarin
A leading publicly listed corporation this organization stands as one of the largest conglomerates in Hong Kong and China with diverse operations spanning property development retail hospitality and more. They are seeking an experienced professional to join their Public Affairs department.
Responsibilities
Monitor and Analyze Policies: Stay abreast of the evolving policy landscape in mainland China and Hong Kong providing timely and insightful assessments on key issues.
Research and Reporting: Conduct thorough macroeconomic and sectorspecific research delivering detailed reports to inform decisionmaking.
Network Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies business associations and think tanks to facilitate effective policy advocacy.
Stakeholder Engagement: Address inquiries and provide expertise to external stakeholders regarding relevant policy matters.
Collaboration: Work closely with business partners and internal teams on various company initiatives programs and events.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Economics Political Economy or related fields.
38 years of demonstrated experience in report writing related to public sector policy issues and real estate.
Proven track record in managing public policy government relations and advocacy efforts.
Indepth understanding of the political systems and policymaking processes in mainland China and Hong Kong including government NGOs and the policy community.
Candidates from the journalism industry are strongly encouraged to apply
Ability to lead and motivate a talented team showcasing excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience in engaging with policymakers.
Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Chinese including Putonghua and Cantonese.
