About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and resultsoriented Investor Growth Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role you will play a crucial part in expanding our investor network and driving platform growth. You will be responsible for identifying qualifying and onboarding highnetworth individuals (HNWIs) family offices and institutional investors.
Responsibilities:
- Investor Acquisition:
- Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns to identify and engage potential investors through various channels (e.g. email LinkedIn industry events).
- Conduct thorough research and build relationships with HNWIs family offices and institutional investors.
- Qualify leads and schedule introductory calls with potential investors.
- Present the Backd platform and investment opportunities to prospective investors.
- Investor Onboarding:
- Guide investors through the onboarding process ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
- Assist investors with platform navigation and investment execution.
- Provide ongoing support and address any investor inquiries.
- Community Building:
- Foster a strong and engaged investor community through online and offline events webinars and exclusive content.
- Build relationships with industry influencers and thought leaders.
- Gather and analyze investor feedback to improve the platform experience.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to investor acquisition and engagement.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes.
- Prepare regular reports on investor growth and activity.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in business finance marketing or a related field.
4 years of experience in business development sales or investor relations.
Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of the venture capital and private equity landscape.
Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Proficiency in CRM and sales automation tools (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot zoho CRM Mailchimp).
Passion for the African startup ecosystem.
