Job Description
The Manager of RealTime Graphics is responsible for leading and managing personnel and projects related to onair graphics operations teleprompter operations and realtime graphics operations ensuring they meet deadlines and quality standards.
Job Duties
- Acts and serves as a point of contact between upper management and staff ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Sets performance expectations conducts ongoing performance evaluations and provides employees with pertinent feedback and coaching.
- Coordinates between graphic designers developers and engineers to ensure seamless integration of graphics into projects.
- Implements processes for testing and reviewing graphics for accuracy performance and visual appeal.
- Allocates resources effectively including personnel and software tools to meet project demands.
- Addresses technical challenges and troubleshoots issues that arise during the development of realtime graphics.
- Oversees projects from conception to completion ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Remains updated on the latest tools and technologies for realtime graphics and assess their applicability to projects.
- Works under the direct supervision of the Director Real Time Graphics and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience working with onair graphics and teleprompter operations or related fields OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven technical and visual understanding of RealTime Graphics.
- Exhibits knowledge of Chyron Products VizRT products Adobe suite or equivalent tools.
- Exhibits thorough understanding of graphics workflows for onair.
- Fluency in the language of onair show packaging and insert graphic elements is a must.
- Exhibits advanced understanding of Chyron design and animation techniques.
- Exhibits advanced understanding of creating templates for Camio and LUCI.
Desired Characteristics:
- Fluent in Spanish (both written & verbal) while its preferred its not essential.
- Plugin writing skills or understanding of C Java and LUA in the Chyron environment.
- Bachelors degree in art or related field preferred.
- Exceptional communication time management analytical and organizational skills.
- Selfstarter who exhibits ownership of assigned tasks and who will push for solutions that solve immediate problems while building toward longterm goals.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
- Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within the organization.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and manage expectations.
- Ability to effectively be flexible in approach and respond well to pressure.
- Ability to lead and direct others promote a positive work environment and problemsolve.
- Processoriented good at identifying and implementing best practices.
- Change agent; creative and adaptable when facing challenges.

- Willingness to travel and work overtime and on weekends with short notice

- As this is a critical operations position candidate must be willing to work flexible hours including late and/or lastminute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
- Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings evenings holidays and weekends
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

- This position is required to be performed fulltime from an NBCUniversaldesignated worksite.
