Job Description
As a Financial Analyst you will provide analysis to the NBC Sports Next business group to help guide both strategic and financial decisions. You will partner with the Finance team and Senior Leadership to create meaningful plans and periodic forecasts that reflect the state of the business and provide for a meaningful financial benchmark. Additionally you will provide adhoc decisionmaking support for strategic initiatives and special projects.
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results forecasted performance and variances to plan forecast and budget
- Foster strong relationships with business leaders across the organization to support financial planning and performance measurement including reporting and analysis
- Enhance financial visibility of international business segments partnering with UK teammates to deliver expanded financial reporting
- Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support the monthly close process including accruals invoices and reclasses
- Assist domestic and international FP&A teams with various reporting and ad hoc requests
- Bring new thinking and ways of doing things to the team as appropriate including analyzing and championing new metrics reporting and performance indicators to identify key financial trends
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field or equivalent work experience
- At least one year of finance accounting or business analysis experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including familiarity with utilizing various formulas and functions
- Strong technical aptitude including ability and desire to learn company systems and tools.
- Must be highly organized and detailoriented
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Able to transform quantitative analysis into actionable recommendations and communicate them in a concise and compelling way
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships on a crossfunctional team and partner with leaders in various business areas
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt work style/processes in a fastpaced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant Technology and SaaS industry experience
- Forecasting and budgeting experience
- SAP BPC and/or Power BI experience
Additional Job Requirements
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
- Must be willing to work in Orlando FL
- Travel may be required for this position for company or department meetings.
