Job Description
NBCUniversals Operations & Technology organization has an opening for a Senior Network Engineer.
The Senior Network Engineer will work within a dedicated team of Network architects and engineers tasked with rethinking NBCs global edge and campus network infrastructure. The selected candidate will define and implement NBCUniversals NextGen Network according to standard and best practices working closely with partners and stakeholders to gather requirements and derive possible solutions. The candidate will also serve as a technical resource providing guidance and advice to other Operations & Technology teams and participating in oncall support escalation rotations. The candidate with be part of a larger network engineering team working onsite full time at the NBC core production facility in Miami.
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in enterprise implementing maintaining and supporting network firewalls remote access solutions load balancers routers and switches.
- 3 years of experience in leading network initiatives identifying deriving and document network and network security requirements.
- Experience with highavailability network and network security designs and associated protocols; DualISP firsthop redundancy geodiverse failover cloud regionality/availability zones.
- Advanced Routing and switching experience with BGP OSPF ISIS EVPNVxLAN VRF.
- Work onsite full time at the NBC core production facility in Miami.
Desired Characteristics:
- Palo Alto Networks PCNSE/PCCSE or equivalent experience
- F5 Certified Technical Specialist or Solution Experts or equivalent experience
- Understanding of network security and cloud security concepts and best practices
- Experience Core network security concepts such as zero trust architecture
- Excellent systematic problemsolving approach with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to articulate security objectives to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

- Required OnSite: This position is required to be performed fulltime from an NBCUniversaldesignated worksite.
