Job Description

Scope of Position:

The Finance Supervisor oversees all financial activities of the hotel ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position plays a key role in financial planning analysis and reporting contributing to the overall success of the hotel.                                      

Summary of Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and review financial statements including the income statement balance sheet and cash flow statement.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports in compliance with accounting standards (e.g. GAAP or IFRS).

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor the finance team including staff accountants accounts payable and accounts receivable personnel.
  • Provide guidance and training to ensure highquality work and professional development.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
  • Monitor chart of accounts and account coding accuracy.
  • Review journal entries and adjustments.

Audit Support:

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Provide auditors with necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure audit findings are addressed promptly.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Stay uptodate with accounting regulations and ensure compliance with tax laws financial reporting standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Ensure that all Accor Policy and procedure are implemented by the Hotel

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Financial controller and senior management.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and communicate financial variances.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow by overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies in the finance department.

Other:

  • Any other task that might be allocated to you by the Hotel.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
  • Prior experience in Hospitality is preferred.
