Job Description: Finance Coordinator
Job Summary
The Finance Coordinator will provide essential accounting functions for our Cape Town and Windhoek sites. This fulltime position involves managing accounts payable accounts receivable bank reconciliations a fixed asset register petty cash handling payroll support budgeting financial reporting tax returns and managing audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable effectively.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain a fixed asset register.
- Handle petty cash transactions and ensure accuracy in payroll support.
- Assist in budgeting processes and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
- Prepare and submit tax returns and handle related statutory reports.
- Coordinate and manage audits liaising with auditors to ensure compliance.
- Provide financial insights and support in submissions for government grants and BEE verification.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance Accounting or Diploma
Desired Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Acumatica financial software especially in accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
- Sound experience in the preparation of local tax returns VAT returns and other statutory reports.
- Solid background in payroll management ledger management and related statutory returns.
- Experience with annual financial audits and liaising with auditors.
- Knowledge of local income taxation laws applicable to companies.
- Previous experience in and knowledge of government grants submissions and BEE verification submissions is advantageous.
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
The Finance Coordinator will work full time Monday to Friday for a total of 40 hours a week. Candidates must be based in Cape Town and available to work onsite as required.
