Job Description
The Job Mission
As a Senior Quality Engineer you will drive quality excellence across client projects ensuring adherence to rigorous quality requirements in the nuclear sector. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams youll play a pivotal role in delivering high standards of safety efficiency and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring client and supplychain compliance with quality requirements through robust oversight and auditing.
- Managing Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans and LifeTime Quality Records.
- Leading quality surveillance activities at client and subcontractor sites across the UK and internationally.
- Facilitating nonconformance resolution and conducting root cause analyses.
- Supporting risk and opportunity reviews while embedding lessons learned.
- Leading supplier and internal audits to maintain quality benchmarks.
- Analyzing quality data to inform project management decisions effectively.
- Preparing comprehensive quality reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications :
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in nuclear or regulated sectors with expertise in quality management.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 GSR3 and relevant standards.
- Process mapping experience.
- IRCA Registered Lead Auditor qualification.
- Strong understanding of quality tools (e.g. SPC Histograms).
Desired Skills
- Practitioner Grade CQI membership or equivalent.
- Engineering HNC/Diploma or apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
- NDT qualifications (e.g. Level II/III in Radiography Ultrasonics).
- Multilingual abilities especially French.
- CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector certification.
