General Summary
Under direct supervision assists experienced Imaging Services Engineers with installations service and repair of imaging equipment in assigned geography. May work alone at times; however usually works under close supervision of other Imaging Services Engineers and/or management. Performs usually with assistance assigned maintenance installation repairs adjustments calibrations and safety testing. Adheres to instructions and corporate policies and demonstrates professionalism with integrity in all interactions with customers and staff.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

- People
- Works with experienced Imaging Services Engineers in the installation maintenance and repair of imaging equipment.
- Works closely with management and technical staff.
- Seeks support of difficult issues/decisions to higher level authority for resolution/advice.
- Service
- Services imaging equipment in assigned geography to include up to 3 of the following equipment modalities: ultrasounds contrast injectors mobile radiographic/fluoroscopic units (carms) portable xrays fixed rad or R&F rooms mammography bone densitometry dental xrays units. Assists other Imaging Services Engineers with planned maintenance installations repairs adjustments calibrations and safety testing of imaging equipment.
- Performs basic administrative tasks associated with the position.

- Shows initiative follows established procedures and works in a safe manner.
- Completes assigned work in a timely manner.
- Prioritizes work load effectively with support from higher level authority.
- Adheres to performance metrics of PM completion call closure parts returns work order completion time and others as assigned.

- Maintains timely accurate and thorough documentation required by management as outlined in current policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates initiative and concern for planning time utilization and cost containment.
- Travel
- Requires up to 80% travel
Qualifications :
Education and Experience
- Associates degree in electronic technology engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment in a clinical setting required; 13 years of working with Imaging modalities is preferred.
- AAMI CBET / CRES or ACCE CCE certifications are preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of the following pieces of equipment: General Office Equipment VOM Meters Radiation Meters Hand Tools Oscilloscopes Safety Analyzers Imaging Phantoms Power Tools HV Probes HV Bleeders and Test Fixtures.
- Basic knowledge of radiation physics digital technology and mechanics.
- General knowledge of networked equipment.
- Basic knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to imaging equipment radiation safety and protection practices.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Highly effective verbal written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels hospital staff patients visitors and vendors
- Knowledge of applicable trade areas and ability to understand and communicate technical terminology applicable to healthcare technology management.
- Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office programs.
- High level of maturity selfdevelopment and integrity.
- Ability to combine pieces of troubleshooting information to form general rules or conclusions.
