Job Description
Job Title: Senior Design EngineerAir Compressor
Location: Minneapolis Minnesota 55441
Job Description & Skill Requirement:
- Onsite Coordinator for multiple design Projects in Air Compressors for HVAC applications.
- New Product Design & development of Compressors subsystems. (Preferred experience in Rotating Equipment design & development)
- Design Calculations as per ASME standards.
- DFMEA Risk analysis & Mitigation plan as part of new product development.
- Tolerance stackup analysis for complex assemblies
- Coordinate vendors for Manufacturability check RFQs & proto development & Testing.
- Support for Documentation for Certifications (UL/ASME etc.)
Skills Needed:
- Proficiency with Solidworks
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and skills.
- General familiarity with technology commonly used in manufacturing systems.
- Must be able to develop new equipment from concept through launch.
- Creative ability to conceptualize early on in a project
- Basic knowledge of machining practices and how part tolerances affect machining requirements and cost.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledge of material properties (machinability weldability heat treatment corrosion resistance etc).
- Requires proficiency in selection of materials and OEM components for functional requirement and adopt engineering principles and technologies during equipment/ machine constructions
- Requires experience of engineering change managements analyze and trouble shoot to problems occurred.
