Job Description
As a Collections and Delivery Driver for DPD you will serve as a crucial point of contact for our customers. Your role is instrumental in upholding our commitment to exceptional service and timely parcel handling. The position demands a high level of professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing precise and punctual collections and deliveries as per the assigned schedule.
- Maintaining a professional demeanour and providing exemplary customer service during all interactions.
- Adhering to strict time management protocols to ensure efficient route completion.
- Assisting with the meticulous loading of parcels at the depot prior to commencing daily routes.
- Managing a daily workload of approximately 5060 stops within the designated area.
- Utilising provided equipment such as the sack barrow/hand truck to safely handle heavier items.
- Consistently demonstrating a commitment to DPDs service standards and operational procedures.
- Ensuring the safe and secure handling of all parcels throughout the collection and delivery process.
- Accurately maintaining all necessary documentation and records related to deliveries and collections.
- Promptly reporting any issues or discrepancies encountered during the course of duties.
This role requires a valid C1 licence Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar position is essential.
