Job Description
Salary Range: $68640$74500 per year
Purpose of Position: To supervise the activities of crews on the fryer ranches to include cleanup setup and landscaping of excess lands to maintain Foster Farms standards of quality safety and cost.
- Supervise analyze guide and control all aspects of the Set Up/Clean Up Crew to promote consistent performance at the least cost while maintaining highest quality and safety standards.
- Anticipate and monitor ranch and crew labor needs. Includes being responsible for orientating and training Clean Up/Set Up Persons to become Assistant Ranch Foreperson Trainees.
- Work closely with other supervisors to solve labor problems.
- Work closely with other supervisors to distribute labor.
- Responsible for training and development of Set Up/Clean Up Crew Leadspersons and preparing crew employees for training programs.
- Supervise all maintenance of equipment. Includes justifying and purchasing new equipment as needed and monitoring all equipment service programs.
- Monitor quality of all work in area of responsibility.
- Complete necessary records to ensure that the following is accomplished:
- Evaluation of Brooder Crew employees Monthly.
- Oversee safety programs.
- Plan project and coordinate clean/setup activities while maintaining the lowest possible cost consistent with quality standards.
Includes:
- Monitoring safety.
- Analyzing and monitoring all labor fuel supply and maintenance costs.
- Organizing and controlling shortrange planning in anticipation of labor litter and equipment needs.
- Oversee maintenance of all equipment.
- Monitor quality of work.
- Maintain excess lands as required.
- Maintain Foster Farms standards of quality on ranch appearance.
Qualifications :
- Strong Animal Science background/ chicken growing experience (a Bachelor of Science Degree in Poultry Science AgBusiness or related field is preferred).
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Must have strong leadership/supervisor skills with the ability to act independently and be able to evaluate fairly and objectively.
- Must be able to work flexible work schedules as needed to include weekends holidays late and early morning hours.
- Must have good computer skills and the ability to create and analyze data.
- Ability to interface with all support groups departments and upper management.
- Must be able to work independently/ unsupervised and have strong time management skills.
- Must have a valid Class C Drivers License and maintain a good DMV driving record.
- Must be able to follow and enforce all company policies and guidelines including biosecurity and animal welfare policies and guidelines.
- Must be detailed oriented and have a strong mechanical mathematical and analytical aptitude.
