Roles and responsibilities

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Cost Estimation Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing

• Contribute to creating and implementing best practices, cost estimating vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
• Make accurate project cost estimates (from Class 5 to Class 1 estimate levels).
• Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience of directing cost estimating, control and analysis,
• Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria and system set-up for all project controls activities.
• Statistical knowledge in the areas of sampling distributions, probability, and hypothesis testing. Knowledge in supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present cost engineering and cost estimating products. This includes Estimating / products independently with minimal supervision using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical and engineering design and construction practices.
• Working knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up / set up work processes.
• Expertise must have been gained from working for reputed firms.
• Must have led large Estimating Section with top international firms and on prestigious projects.
• Demonstrated skill in mgmt., supervisory, and personnel administrative functions.

Desired candidate profile

• Bachelor’s in quantity surveying, engineering or cost engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 18 years’ experience in Estimating / project controls on large projects.
• Preferably certified in CEP or MCIOB or MCIArab.
• Excellent Arabic / English verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio & Databases).
• Experience in:
• Estimate preparation.
• Estimate Review.
• Estimate Planning.
• Cost planning
• Contingency and risk analysis.
• Developing budget requests, cash flow forecasts, & WC analysis
• Expert knowledge of Estimating & Cost Management processes & Systems.
• Knowledge of:
• AACE Estimate Classifications.
• Planning/Scheduling.
• Validation of input data.
• Consolidation of estimate reports from multiple projects.
• Technical and practical comprehension of health care field and General.
• Business Technique.
