Reporting to the Director or Associate Director of Group Sales responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service to both internal and external customers
- Maintain positive relationships with all guests vendors Colleagues and global sales network
- Actively sell guest rooms and meeting space to small groups ensuring quarterly and annual goals are met
- Solicit new business engage new clients and rebook existing clients
- Maintain accounts contact activity and business details within the appropriate software applications
- Assume Conference Services role for groups booked with an arrival of 30 days or less.
- Confirm and review of function details
- Obtain rooming list details and request deposits where applicable
- Conduct pre convention meetings as required
- Work closely with the Culinary team and Front Office team to communicate group details
- Meet clients prior to departure to ensure all details of the contract were delivered and to solicit any future business
- To follow departmental policies and procedures
- To follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and other relevant computer applications required
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team
Physical Demands
- This position requires moderate physical activity
Required Education and Experience
- 12 years of hotel experience; preferably in sales
