Job Description

The DPS Risk Products & Solutions team collaborates with clients to deliver advanced risk products and services that drive industry leading fraud performance. The Director will create and manage a portfolio of Authentication & Identity services for Visa DPS.  Responsibilities include staying updated on fraud and market trends focusing on innovation and launching new products and features designed to tackle threat vectors beyond transactional solutions. Success in this role requires ideating strategic solutions developing requirements defining product positioning and pricing and effectively launching products.

Key directives include building out our identity product suite enhancing our authentication solutions and driving innovation into the product roadmap to maximize business and product performance. This role will shape the future of risk and identity solutions at Visa DPS.

This leadership position requires working closely with internal and external stakeholders particularly within the Issuing and RTP Risk Solutions team and the Issuer Processing business. Collaboration extends to Sales Account Management Marketing Finance Technology Operations and Legal teams as well as the broader Issuing Solutions organization. The position is based in the United States with a preference for the Highlands Ranch OR Atlanta offices   Please note we are hybrid with a target of being in office 50% of the time. 

Responsibilities

  • Own the identity & authentication product lifecycle: strategy gotomarket plans partnerships revenue adoption goals and key artifacts (concept document business case product backlog).

  • Ideate innovate and develop our identity product suite in partnership and collaboration with crossfunctional Product and Business leaders.  This is a green field opportunity to create a new vertical of solutions.  Decisions must be based on rock solid intel (internal and external) as well as compelling projections based on data and analytics.

  • Enhance our authentication value added services strategy and objectives across a 35year roadmap to serve as a differentiator in winning new issuer processing deals and grow Visas valueadded services business.

  • Lead and develop a team to deliver bestinclass innovation world class product performance and accelerated concept to market implementation delivery timelines.

  • Lead crossfunctional teams on product enhancements ensuring business and client needs are prioritized and solved for in a deliberate manner.  Drive product feature and functionality development.

  • Conduct competitive customer and market analysis to identify new opportunities becoming an expert on client needs and market trends to inform strategy.

  • Manage product financials: pricing revenue and expense forecasting.

  • Articulate the value of DPS and Visas risk and identity products.

  • Support senior management with key client and signature client sales.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications :

Basic

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred 

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 810 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Demonstrated ability to create complete concise business and technical level requirements including experience with use cases report and screen mockups API file transmissions and crossfunctional requirements.
  • 6 years of product management experience
  • 6 years of experience leading product lines in the technology industry
  • Experience leading crossfunctional teams including Engineering Design and Product Marketing
  • Expert level critical thinking organizational analytical and influencing skills. Well balanced between strategy and execution demonstrated history of bringing a vision to life
  • Experience leading and working within global and regional teams operating in a matrixed environment
  • Strong verbal written and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be proficient in all MS Office applications (Excel Word PowerPoint and Access) with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to travel for business will be required.
  • 10 or more years of work experience building owning or developing risk and identity products or services
  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Experience as a senior member of a product leadership team with clear impacts to P&L Product Roadmap and Culture
  • Demonstrable history owning and developing nontransactional fraud and risk solutions (e.g. identity authentication cyber)
  • Ability to build crossfunctional consensus amongst internal stakeholders as we pioneer new horizons of solutions and opportunity
  • Excellent public speaking skills crossfunctional communication and emotional intelligence
  • Expert ability to take initiative and build strong and productive relationships across an organization
  • Payments experience (card account other money movement) or other related financial services (e.g. identity graph bureaus etc.) especially around both originations and backoffice operations is a plus


Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 510% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 151600.00 to 204950.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
