Industrial Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

Performs various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a Bachelors in engineering program, and available data in the engineering field.
Prepares or assists in preparing fundamental engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
Assists in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
Under the guidance of a more senior engineer, assists in reviewing supplier drawing submittals and technical bid analyses.
Assists in the preparation and issuance of specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
. Process Optimization
Analyze Current Processes: Assess and evaluate existing manufacturing or operational processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, or bottlenecks.
Design and Implement Improvements: Propose, design, and implement improvements in processes, workflows, and systems to optimize performance, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Workflow Design: Design and improve the layout of production floors or service systems to maximize efficiency, safety, and throughput.
Lean Manufacturing: Implement Lean principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance value creation.
2. Supply Chain and Inventory Management
Supply Chain Optimization: Design and manage supply chain systems to ensure the timely delivery of materials and products while minimizing costs.
Inventory Control: Develop strategies for inventory management, including Just-In-Time (JIT), Kanban, and automated inventory systems to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
Logistics Planning: Plan and optimize logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution systems.
3. Production Planning and Scheduling
Capacity Planning: Determine the production capacity needed to meet demand and identify potential areas of constraint or underutilization.
Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure that products are manufactured or services are delivered on time and within budget.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources (e.g., personnel, equipment, materials) efficiently to meet production goals.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s in engineering in Industrial
Fresh graduates/1 year experience only.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated and ambitious.
Saudi Nationals only.
Technical Skills
Engineering Software: Proficiency in software for process design and analysis such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, Arena Simulation, or specialized manufacturing software.
Data Analysis Tools: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Minitab, or other statistical analysis tools to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to manage inventory, resources, and production schedules.
4. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
Root Cause Analysis: Ability to identify the root causes of operational issues and propose effective solutions to address them.
Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess complex systems, identify inefficiencies, and propose optimized solutions.
Decision-Making: Ability to make data-driven decisions that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
5. Communication Skills
Clear and Concise Reporting: Ability to present technical data and analysis in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders, including management and clients.
Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Training and Presentation: Ability to lead training sessions and present process improvements to team members.
