Job Description
Position Summary:
This position reports to the General Manager (or Operations Manager) and is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of direct and support activities associated with the processing component of the operation. This will include providing a leadership role in solving problems as they occur and meeting production objectives in a profitable manner.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate all production in the processing area.
Coordinate Production Summaries in the processing area.
Summarize labour costs of the processing facility.
Plan and coordinate daily labour requirement.
Create and maintain a hygienic work environment.
Maintain a balanced process flow in the Process Area and deal with blockage issues.
Promote and enforce the Employee Hygiene Procedure.
Coach and support production employees.
Respond to noncompliant quality issues.
Proactively deal with production related issues.
Manage and deal with employee behavioural issues and enforce the Disciplinary Policy.
React to and facilitate equipment repair and maintenance issues.
Support the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Program. Respond to Emergency Situations using the BicSecurity and Emergency Procedure.
Ensure all products meet all quality specifications.
Work effectively as a member of the Managerment Team.

Experience & Skills:
A minimum of 3 years production management experience.
Extensive knowledge of the seafood industry preferably lobster and crab. Strong leadership interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to plan coordinate and monitor performance of production and related operations.
