Job Description

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has openings for an Occupational Therapist(OT). We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Tuba City AZ 86045

Assignment Start Date: 1/27/2025

13 weeks Days 8hour shift 40 hours per week guaranteed

The Occupational Therapist I/II / Advanced Occupational Therapist I/II position serves to provide quality occupational therapy services to a predominantly Native American population for the rehabilitation of patients with various developmental cognitive and/or mental emotional and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy.

  • Responsible for assessing and interpreting evaluation/s and test results for patients ranging in age from birth through geriatric;
  • determining occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription and setting realistic treatment goals depending on the patients physical and mental abilities needs and evaluation findings and/or diagnosis and documenting in electronic health records (EHR);
  • evaluate results of occupational therapy by observing noting and evaluating the patients progress;
  • recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications to the therapy plan;
  • promote maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to the patients goals and needs;
  • maintains the operation and organization of the Occupational Therapy program for outpatients and inpatients (regular work week weekend services not available at this time and depending on the location of the clinic);
  • documentation of patient care services by charting in patients records;
  • provision of specialty services to include but not limited to custom orthoses sensory integration cognitive treatment and activities of daily living;
  • provision of specialty clinics (depending on the location of the clinic) including but not limited to Spinal Cord clinic Functional clinic Geriatric clinic Assistive Technology/adaptive equipment evaluation/treatment Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetic Orthotic Supply Program;
  • assists with the direction and development of the occupational therapy service to include continued quality improvement risk management and safety;
  • complies with federal and state occupational therapy certification requirements and follows policy and procedures;
  • complies with the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Occupational Therapy ProfessionScope of Practice as set forth by the American Occupational Therapy Association;
  • provides training and inservices for student and staff education;
  • consults with the rehabilitation team and other health care workers (e.g. physicians nurses social workers etc.);
  • and other duties.

Responsibilities also include maintaining Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

  • Must have at least 2 years of previous experience
  • Applicant must meet requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff.

Education:

  • Must have a Bachelors in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Associations Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

  • Must possess a valid current full and unrestricted license from the American Occupational Therapy Association and Arizona Department of Health Licensure or in any state within the United States District of Columbia or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
  • Must have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Applicant must meet requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff. All related information required for credentialing must be provided.

EMR System: Allscripts experience preferred

Shift: Monday Friday 8 am5 pm

Orientation: Every two (2) weeks only.

Covid Exemptions: We do not accept religious exemptions. If a candidate submits for a medical exemption we will have to get approval from our medical review board to proceed with onboarding.

Housing Application: must be submitted 2 weeks before the start date
