Compliance Monitoring Analyst

The O&T group provides global support to NBCUniversal with a 2000 strong workforce and is critical to the growth and success of the company.

NBCUniversals Data & Legal Solutions (DLS) team operates as a central program operations group embedded across Ad Sales Distribution Marketing Research Technology Legal and HR as trusted partners working together to implement strategic programs throughout the enterprise to effectively close gaps between central business and technology groups across a variety of projects. We work to provide relevant insights & structure across our diverse portfolio to power intelligent business decisions required to compete within todays highly complex multiplatform & fragmented media landscape.

The Compliance Monitoring Analyst role is a fulltime position in NBCUniversals DLS Monitoring team. This role will support in the development of our Monitoring function partnering with audit and business leaders to help verify and improve compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.The Compliance Monitoring Analyst will be responsible for defining analyzing & documenting processes and procedures and identifying any operational or compliance gaps against requirements and controls.

This role is highly collaborative working across business and technology teams to support risk management and remediation as well as the development of multiyear strategic planning and roadmap alignment.

This role requires working flexible hours to support business partners globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development socialization and execution of the monitoring strategy
• Support review and documentation of the data landscape and business processes to enable identification of gaps with applicable external and internal requirements
• Support socialization of findings and remediation of identified risks
• Make recommendations regarding business process changes based on experience analysis and best practices
• Support development of audits to ensure adequate coverage of risks
• Support design and execution of appropriate audit procedures to verify the effectiveness of internal controls
• Prepare clear organized and complete documentation to support work performed
• Establish and maintain good client and team relations during engagements
• Effectively partner with internal audit
• Document project risks and issues; providing solutions where applicable
• Take ownership in facilitating and documenting collaborative working sessions with business and technical stakeholders and conducting followups as needed
• Provide and apply methods and tools to drive effectiveness efficiencies and agility
• Liaise with external 3rd party consultants and technology teams as needed
• Assess scope and new enhancement requests always with a view on the ROI for the business
• Manage program metrics and reporting
• Adhoc activities as required

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in business technology or related field of study or equivalent work experience 
• 3 years experience in strong data analysis and reconciliation skills
• Best practice knowledge of audit documentation
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team within pressure situations
• Organized and detailoriented
• Goaloriented being able to conceptualize a project from start to finish; while managing shortterm milestones
• Ability to identify opportunities to solve business problems
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills required to interface with and influence crossfunctional leaders including senior stakeholders
• Competency in Microsoft applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 years experience in audit/monitoring
• Experience in Privacy regulations and industry standards including European U.S and international laws
• Experience within the Media industry
• Project management experience
• Competency in OneTrust JIRA and Confluence
• A curious mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo
• Selfstarter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand the depth of knowledge

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the New York office a minimum of three days per week.
