Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

In this position you will be responsible for providing insights to clients. To do so, you will first meet with our clients to uncover their business needs and challenges. Then, you will use your strong analytical skills to perform quantitative and observational data analyses. From these analyses, you will form and present your recommendations to our clients.

1. Preoperative Assessment and Planning
Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments of patients to evaluate their suitability for anesthesia. This involves reviewing medical histories, physical examinations, and laboratory results, as well as considering any comorbid conditions that might affect anesthesia.
Anesthesia Plan Development: Develop individualized anesthesia care plans based on the patient’s medical history, the type of surgery, and the patient's specific needs (e.g., age, comorbidities, allergies).
Risk Assessment: Assess and communicate any risks associated with anesthesia to patients and surgical teams, ensuring informed consent is obtained and any concerns are addressed.
2. Administration of Anesthesia
Induction of Anesthesia: Administer anesthesia during surgeries or medical procedures, ensuring that the patient remains in a controlled and safe state throughout the procedure. This may involve general anesthesia, regional anesthesia (e.g., epidural or spinal blocks), or local anesthesia.
Intraoperative Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and respiration) during the procedure. Make real-time adjustments to anesthetic doses and techniques as necessary to maintain optimal patient conditions.
Anesthetic Adjustments: Adjust the anesthesia plan as needed based on the patient’s response, procedure duration, and changes in medical condition during surgery.


Desired candidate profile

Strong analytical, communication and quantitative skills
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel
Strong presentation and communication skills
1. Medical Expertise
Advanced Knowledge in Anesthesia: Deep knowledge of various anesthesia techniques (general, regional, local), pharmacology, and anesthetic agents, as well as advanced skills in monitoring and managing anesthesia.
Critical Care Skills: Expertise in managing critically ill patients, particularly those with complex medical histories or severe comorbidities.
Pain Management: Proficiency in pain management techniques, both during and after surgery, including the use of epidurals, nerve blocks, and analgesics.
2. Decision-Making and Problem-Solving
Clinical Judgment: Ability to make critical decisions regarding anesthetic approaches, especially in complex or high-risk situations. Strong problem-solving skills to adjust anesthesia plans as necessary during surgery.
Crisis Management: Ability to manage emergency situations, such as airway complications or severe reactions to anesthesia, quickly and effectively.
3. Communication Skills
Clear Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the medical team. Explain anesthesia procedures and risks clearly to patients.
Collaborative Approach: Work seamlessly with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring effective communication and coordinated care.
