Civil Engineering

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate to be based in our GTA team.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Technical development and delivery of water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure in a municipal environment.
• Design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater.
• Performing constructability reviews.
• Preparing documentation for design projects and reports.
• Preparing construction cost estimates.
• Preparing of project specifications and contract documents.
• Additional responsibilities will include client communication and management; assistance with proposal preparation; contract preparation and negotiation; coordination with regulatory agencies; project planning budgeting and scheduling.
• Project management experience (including in an assistant/deputy role) is considered an asset.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or other related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or other related field.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues contractors and clients.
• Experience with municipal water wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance infrastructure projects
• Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Design of new conveyance systems or condition assessment or rehabilitation of existing conveyance systems would be an asset
• Experience with MicroStation Civil 3D or AutoCAD would be an asset.
• Experience with trenchless technologies would be an asset.
• Knowledge in hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM. WaterCAD and other platforms would be an asset.
