We are looking for an Associate Project Manager to join our Manchester Infrastructure team to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects both nationally and locally. You will be joining a growing team of likeminded people that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.
Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants. The successful candidate shall be charged with the delivery of Project Management Services within our Client focused and highly motivated professional team
As an Associate Project Manager you will be expected to work with a Project Director to successfully manage coordinate and deliver projects and/or to work independently leading a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. This role involves providing both clientside project management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from initial inception through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase and AECOM led commissions.
Heres what youll do
As an Associate Project Manager you will be expected to lead a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. This role involves providing clientside project management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from option studies option development construction tender support through to NEC contract administration.
- Lead the successful delivery of multidisciplinary complex projects within collaborative delivery teams
- Clientside project management including stakeholder H&S risk quality schedule and contract management
- Ensure projects and commissions are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for quality cost and time
- Support and manage the project team ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects meeting the client and business requirements
- Actively manage subcontractors and resources remote from the core project team
- Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the crossfunctional team
- Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients

Qualifications :
Ready to push the limits of whats possible
Heres what were looking for:
- Experience of working within a client organisation either directly or through a colocation/secondment arrangement.
- Practitioner of NEC suite of contracts particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)
- Experience of working as part of integrated multiorganisation collaborative teams
- Infrastructure and project management experience delivering complex projects
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Highly motivated and with excellent industry network
- Relationship building skills ability to build strong relationships with clients teams and stakeholders as well as an ability to build and maintain networks of business contacts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A team player with a cando attitude outgoing polite patient diplomatic personable respectful and flexible
The individuals proposed for the role of an Associate Project Manager will ideally demonstrate the following:
- Minimum of ten years project management experience
- A project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or PMQ
- A relevant degree such as in engineering environmental science construction or relevant subject
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contract management
- A member of a related professional body preferably chartered (APM CIOB)
- You may be required to undertake and successfully complete a BS7858 security screening check
