Job Overview:
As a Procurement Officer you will be responsible for managing the companys procurement process ensuring timely and costeffective acquisition of materials products and services. You will work closely with the supply chain team to develop and implement procurement strategies and policies maintain supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure costeffective and timely acquisition of materials products and services.
Source select and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and conditions for the company.
Monitor and analyze market trends prices and sources of supply.
Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential suppliers.
Manage the procurement process from start to finish including preparing purchase orders negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure inventory levels are maintained and procurement needs are met.
Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Keep accurate records of all purchases and contracts.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 35 years of experience in procurement preferably in a manufacturing or industrial company.
Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
Strong understanding of procurement processes policies and procedures.
Excellent communication negotiation and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with sourcing and procurement techniques.
Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles.
Professional certification in procurement (e.g. CIPS) is a plus.
