Job Description

Job Title: Receiving Associate

Department: Warehouse

Work Location: White Hall AR

Reports To: Storeroom Supervisor

FLSA Status: NonExempt

Key Responsibilities:

    • Receive incoming shipments of materials parts and supplies verifying the accuracy of quantities and inspecting for damage or discrepancies.
    • Compare received items to purchase orders and packing slips ensuring that all goods match the description and quality standards specified.
    • Record all received materials in the companys inventory management system including quantities lot numbers serial numbers and other relevant information.
    • Identify and report any discrepancies damages or quality issues to the appropriate department or supplier for resolution.
    • Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve receiving discrepancies including coordinating returns replacements or adjustments as needed.
    • Ensure that all received materials are properly labeled tagged and stored in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area.
    • Assist in maintaining a clean safe and organized receiving area including keeping aisles clear disposing of packaging materials and following proper safety protocols.
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders including purchasing production and quality control teams to provide timely updates on incoming shipments and resolve any issues or concerns.
    • Participate in periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures including safety guidelines quality standards and regulatory requirements while performing receiving duties.

Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • Previous experience (13 years) in a similar role preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing receiving and inspection tasks.
    • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and inventory management software.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Effective communication skills both verbal and written can interact professionally with internal teams and external vendors.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
    • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to receiving operations.
    • Ability to complete all preemployment steps successfully; to include drug & alcohol screen background check & physical examination.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

    • Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
    • Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise extreme temperatures and environmental stressors.
    • Physical Activities: Sit stand walk bend climb crouch reach and grasp as needed.
    • PPE: Wear the required PPE including eye and hearing protection gloves and safety toe footwear.
    • Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close distance color peripheral depth perception and focus adjustment).
    • Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
    • Skills: Effective communication basic math skills and teamwork.
    • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
