Job Title: EMS Certification Coordinator

Duration: 12 months (with possible extension) Position Summary The Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) is seeking a Certification Coordinator to assist with EMT certification processes. This role involves providing telephone and email support to EMTs reviewing applications and performing clerical tasks to support certification and education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities - Review electronic and paper applications following established procedures and process them through electronic systems.
- Provide telephone and email support to certified EMTs assisting with certification maintenance or reinstatement.
- Respond to inquiries based on standard procedures or escalate issues for followup.
- Assist with verifying current and past certifications.
- Process and maintain records related to certification and recertification.
Qualifications - At least 2 years of experience using common computer applications including Microsoft Outlook Adobe Pro Word Excel and Access.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact tactfully and professionally with others.
- Excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions and logical concise ideas.
- Ability to assemble and organize information following established procedures and maintain accurate records.
