Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Ensures that all guest rooms, floor corridors are cleaned and well-maintained based on prescribed standards.
Provides for cleanliness and maintenance of pantries, service area and trolleys.
Provides for turn down service of guest rooms based on prescribed standards.
Reports to shift Supervisor repairs, maintenance work required in guest rooms or any discrepancies in room status.
Anticipates, responds to guest requirements and requests
Performs other duties assigned by superior.
Ensures compliance with Company rules, statutory and legal requirements for fire, health, and safety.
Conducts section linen inventory.
Gives regular report to Housekeeping Supervisor regarding rooms not serviced as per instruction.
Attends departmental daily briefing, housekeeping communication meeting, and other training sessions
Renders assistance and cooperation to colleagues and other associates of other departments in a prompt, caring and helpful manner.
Contributes positively to sales activities and maximize sales opportunities including being knowledgeable to hotel products, services and facilities.
1. Cleaning and Tidying:
Clean guest rooms, hallways, and public areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces.
Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish toiletries in guest rooms.
Ensure bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and tubs/showers.
Clean and sanitize public restrooms, lobbies, elevators, and other shared spaces in the facility.
2. Laundry and Linen Management:
Collect soiled linens, towels, and other laundry items from guest rooms or common areas.
Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to the facility's standards.
Ensure clean linen is stocked in rooms and on housekeeping carts.
3. Stocking Supplies:
Replenish supplies in guest rooms such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, and cleaning products.
Ensure housekeeping carts are stocked with the necessary cleaning and linen supplies for daily tasks.
Report low supplies or any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
4. Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:
Ensure that rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards before guest check-in.
Organize and maintain storage areas for cleaning supplies, linen, and other materials.
Dispose of trash and recyclables from rooms and common areas.

Experience in Housekeeping department
Good interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Positive attitude even under pressure
kills and Knowledge:
Cleaning and Maintenance Knowledge: Understanding of proper cleaning methods and the use of cleaning agents.
Attention to Detail: Ability to notice small details to ensure rooms and areas are spotless.
Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently to clean multiple rooms or areas within a shift.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to respond to guest requests or issues politely and professionally.
3. Experience:
Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in a fast-paced environment or customer service is beneficial.
4. Personal Attributes:
Reliability: Consistent in fulfilling duties, showing up on time, and maintaining a strong work ethic.
Discretion and Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy.
