About the Role:
This fulltime position involves teaching intensive Chinese Mandarin language courses in a structured and highly supportive environment. The schedule includes six hours of instruction per day Monday through Friday with federal holidays off. In this role you will help shape students language skills through interactive and engaging lessons fostering an environment of learning and growth.

Qualifications:
We have multiple openings for instructors with varying levels of experience:
- Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in any discipline or M.A. with relevant teaching experience.
- Senior Instructor: M.A. in any discipline or B.A. with significant teaching experience.
- Instructor: B.A. in any discipline.

Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Persian Farsi (speaking, reading, and writing). Strong fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) for clear communication with students and colleagues. Teaching and Instructional Skills: Experience in formal classroom instruction, especially in teaching Persian Farsi as a foreign language. Skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, course modification, testing, and structured counseling. Ability to create a student-centered, immersive learning environment. Technological Proficiency: Experience with classroom technology, including Smart Boards, iPads, and other digital teaching tools. Familiarity with using digital resources to enhance learning, such as online platforms and digital assignments. Cultural Competence: Strong understanding of Persian Farsi culture, including geopolitical, economic, and social issues relevant to Persian Farsi-speaking regions. Ability to incorporate cultural knowledge into language lessons to create a holistic learning experience. Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Openness to staying current with language teaching theories, methodologies, and evolving best practices. Ability to adapt to new instructional methods and technologies as needed. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Clear, effective communication skills in both Persian Farsi and English. Ability to provide constructive feedback and engage with students in a supportive, motivating manner. Organizational Skills: Proficiency in organizing data and materials for lesson planning, grading, and administrative reporting. Strong time management skills to balance teaching responsibilities with faculty development activities.
Education
Master s degree in any discipline OR Bachelor s degree in any discipline with at least one year of experience in language instruction.
