Senior Software QA Engineer

Cricut is seeking an experienced and versatile Software QA Engineer who will be responsible for testing and qualifying Web Mobile Native API and Hardware for product releases. You will be responsible for testing new hardware products & applications and communicating with development teams. You should be able to represent QA concerns in crossfunctional team meetings and provide valuable enduser feedback to improve the customer experience. 

This position requires deep understanding of the software development life cycle experience with a variety of testing techniques and strong written and organizational skills.  

The successful candidate should be able to develop and execute an organized test plan to release high quality products to market on schedule. 

Qualifications :

Note: I have listed the following criteria in terms of their order of importance. Please be sure you have all the knockout and required items clerly before applying

Knock Out Criteria:

• 8 years in software testing.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• MUST be living in or willing to immediately relocate to Salt Lake City Utah

Required Criteria:

• Testing user stories APIs and regression testing.
• Handson experience with webbased and mobile application testing.
• Strong proficiency in writing and executing test cases and plans.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot API/web service communications.
• Familiarity with browser debugging tools for log analysis.
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
• Leadership interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Criteria:

• Experience in testing software integrated with hardware.
• Background in testing and qualifying consumer electronics products.

Optional Criteria:

• Testing tools API debugging communication skills organizational skills troubleshooting.
• 8 years of experience in software testing. 
• Experience in testing user stories / features API and doing regression testing. 
• Expert level knowledge and handson experience in writing and executing test cases and test plans. 
• Hands on experience with testing analyzing and troubleshooting communication between frontend and API / Web Services. 
• Experience in analyzing logs and debugging using browser debugging tools. 
• Experience with testing webbased software and Mobile apps. 
• Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work under firm deadlines and within a rapidly changing environment. 
• Thorough understanding of QA methodology and best practices 
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent. 

Good to have skills: 

• Experience in testing Software interacting with hardware.
• Experience in Testing and Qualifying Consumer Electronics Products
