Position Overview:

As a QA Specialist you will design and execute testing strategies to ensure reliable accurate and highquality data solutions. Key tasks include developing test plans automating processes conducting various testing types andcollaborating with stakeholders for UAT. This role focuses on risk mitigation defect resolution and improving QA processes for seamless data product deployments.

Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive test strategies andplans for new data solutions including functional andnonfunctional testing.
• Develop test cases and scenarios basedon business requirements and technical specifications.
• Define testing objectives scope andkey performance indicators for data quality and system reliability.
• Identify potential risks and ensureadequate test coverage for all datarelated features.
• Conduct functional testing to ensurethat data solutions behave as expected covering all use cases andbusiness logic.
• Perform nonfunctional testingincluding performance scalability security and usability testingto ensure the solution meets quality standards.
• Test data pipelines ETL processes datawarehouses and BI tools for data integrity completeness andaccuracy.
• Execute test cases manually or throughautomated test scripts documenting results and tracking defects.
• Work closely with business stakeholdersto conduct UAT ensuring that solutions meet user needs andfunctional requirements.
• Collaborate with the Business Analystsand Data Analysts to gather feedback during UAT and prioritisedefect resolution.
• Ensure all businesscritical data flowsand reports are thoroughly tested before deployment to productionenvironments.
• Document UAT processes including testcases results and any changes required.
• Develop and maintain automated testscripts for data solutions to improve testing efficiency andrepeatability.
• Automate regression testing to ensurethat changes or updates do not introduce new defects in existingsystems.
• Continuously improve testing automationframeworks and tools to support efficient delivery in a SCRUMenvironment.
• Monitor automated test results and workclosely with engineers to resolve issues identified throughautomation.
• Collaborate with other Data Team membersto ensure seamless integration of testing into the developmentlifecycle.
• Work closely with the Business Analyststo align testing priorities with business needs and data productreleases.
• Provide insights and suggestions forimprovements to testing processes and practices contributing to aculture of quality across the Data Team
• Document test plans test cases testscripts and test results clearly and concisely.
• Track defects and bugs through toresolution working closely with development teams to resolve issuesquickly.
• Contribute to continuous improvementinitiatives by providing feedback and proposing enhancements to QAprocesses.
  
  
  Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer scienceinformation systems data engineering or a related field is a plus.
• 3 years of experience in softwaretesting preferably in datadriven environments.
• Experience with functional andnonfunctional testing of data platforms including ETL pipelinesdata lakes data warehouses and BI tools.
• Experience working in SCRUM/Agileenvironments with a focus on iterative testing and continuousintegration/delivery.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and dataquerying to test data quality integrity and accuracy.
• Familiarity with data processingtechnologies such as ETL data warehouses and data lakes.
• Experience with testing data platformson cloud services like AWS Google Cloud or Azure is a plus.
• Experience with test automation toolsand frameworks (e.g. Selenium JUnit TestNG or equivalent).
• Proficiency in test automation scriptinglanguages (e.g. Python Java JavaScript) for automating testcases.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRAJenkins and Git for managing test cases defects and continuousintegration.
• Excellent communication skills with theability to collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnicalteams.
• Strong problemsolving skills withattention to detail and a passion for identifying defects andensuring highquality deliverables.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks andprioritize work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus ondata quality and performance.
• Excellent communication andcollaboration skills with the ability to work crossfunctionallywith business tech and data engineering teams.
• Strong documentation skills withattention to detail in managing documentation.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to newtechnologies tools and methodologies in testing landscape.
