Job Description

The General Practitioner Physician works as a part of the medical team. They are responsible for initiating resuscitation and stabilisation of patients as well as commencing investigations and interventions to diagnose and treat illnesses whilst working as a multidisciplined team.


Qualifications :

  • Doctoral Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy with a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience and licenced to practice in area of work 
  • MD/DO Board certified in Family Practice Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • BCLS and ACLS Certificate
  • Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Carry out evaluation of patients that are brought in for evaluation 
  • Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care 
  • Perform medical examinations to establish health status baseline. 
  • Examine and diagnose patients for illness and injury. 
  • Order perform interpret test results and analyze records and reports. 
  • Ability to provide followup care for patients as needed. 
  • Collect record and maintain patient health information. 
  • Ensures that all medical records are accurately maintained. 
  • Referral recommendations for patients to medical specialists when required. 
  • Coordinate healthcare plan 
  • Provision of clinical reporting into International SOS Facility Medical Director 
  • Ensure best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs 
  • Support the clinical excellence framework under direction from the Facility Medical Director 
  • Provide liaison with external agencies where required to promote chain of care continuity and professional referral/patient handover.

Key Skills: 

  • Experience with the assessment diagnosis and treatment ofadult patients  
  • The ability to make quick medical treatment care plans. 
  • Ability to provide followup care for patients as needed. 
  • Empathetic and personable medical care 
  • Accurate detailed patient charting. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems

  • Ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment.    
  • Maintain a calm confident demeanour when in stressful situations.    
  • Results oriented and able to meet project deliverables.    
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness with the willingness to work with a foreign national patient population.    
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and meet demanding deadlines.  
  • Effective oral written communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Proficient IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems and software skills.

Compensation Base rate is $750 per day additional money per exam $1576 (10 patients) $1989 (15 patients)

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
